This course will explore how to create enterprise budgets that integrate with short- and long-term cash flow forecasting models. Attendees will learn best practices for budgeting at an enterprise level, including a backlog and burn-off schedule, how to incorporate these aspects into forecasts, and how to forecast revenue and cash flow, including backlog under contract, as well as ways to estimate volume that isn’t currently under contract.

 After this session, attendees will be able to:

• Outline the processes, tools, and strategies used in developing budgets as part of the company’s business plan
• Discover how to include both current and projected backlog in budgets and forecasts
• Learn tools to integrate forecasting with budgeting
• Understand methods for forecasting both short- and long-term cash flow

Level & Prerequisites

This is a group-live program at the Intermediate Level. Some working knowledge of construction accounting is recommended.
