Take advantage of the opportunity to understand indirect costs, how they are captured in the accounting system, and various methods of calculating indirect cost rates with this course. You’ll review several examples of indirect cost rate calculations and discuss strategies based on specific construction industries.

The course will focus on multiple scenarios and how different rate calculations impact estimates, contracts, and the bottom line, as well as learn why one contractor may choose to capture costs differently than another.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

• Understand the importance of capturing indirect costs consistently.
• Determine appropriate and reasonable methods of capturing indirect costs and developing indirect cost rates.
• Evaluate the impact of indirect costs and rates on estimates.
